In science, students are working on an interdisciplinary project. We are mummifying apples in conjunction with the social studies unit on ancient Egypt!
Students have had the "organs" of their apples removed and covered them with differing amounts of natron. Each week, we will remove the mummies from their sarcophagus and make some measurements and observations to see how the amount of natron affects the change in mass of the mummy.
